Anders wie bei vielen anderen Strände der Insel Korfu ist dieser überhaupt nicht überlaufen und man hat viel Platz für sich alleine. Der Strand besteht aus Sand der ziemlich weit flach in das warme Wasser reicht.

Gardenos Strand liegt im südwestlichen Ende von Korfu und ist die Strandseite des traditionellen Dorfes Vitalades. Entfernung von der Stadt Korfu ist ziemlich groß, ca. 30 km vom Flughafen entfernt, aber es lohnt sich die Fahrt. Die Region hat nach dem kleinen Fluss, der in das Meer fließt, den Namen und trennt Gardenos in zwei Regionen.
